This is a Pokemon appreciation post

My bro surprised me with a Nintendo Switch Lite for Christmas. It's the Pokemon exclusive, with Zacian and Zamazenta engraved on the back. I was pretty horrified when I discovered later how much this stuff costs, but he makes decent money and said it's no big deal. He takes Christmas seriously where gift-giving is concerned, and I'm not about to argue with that. He said it would be a good distraction during times I'm down with my conditions, which is very thoughtful and also correct. His girls like Pokemon, and we talk about Pokemon all the time. This has pretty much become my life since my nieces are old enough to have conversations about the things they are into. I'm sure ten years from now, it'll be something else (boys? God help me). Until then, I'm being the coolest Aunt ever catching and training Pokemon. :-)

Look at how cute I am. I'll never be that cute in real life. My best buddy Eevee is on my head, ready for battle.

I mean, LOOK at this Electric Corgi/Loaf of Bread!
That's freakin' adorable!

Sadly, my floofy electric pup evolved into an entirely different breed. He's still cool, though. Here he is in a battle with a psychic feline.

Here I am teaming up with my friend/rival, whose name is Hop.
I think he's super duper cute, but I'd never tell him that. :-)
(As you can see, I keep changing my hair and clothes. LOL)

Being challenged by this surgery team made me laugh.
Dr. Iwan looks so tired. Somebody give the man a raise.

Seriously, this dude needs a blanket and a pillow, STAT.

Here's a hot take! At first, I was like "yikes", then I realized what he meant. Of course it would be better if no one was sick. Thanks for the battle, Dr. Iwan. (Get some sleep, sir!)

I arrived in Wyndon, aka London. Even "the Eye" is there in the background. I looked around for a while, then headed to Pokemon Headquarters to prepare for the Championship.

Dynamax Gyarados in mid-attack. I love it.

I'm the new champ! *fireworks*

Now that I'm Champion, the intro to the game shows me with my winning team, which is pretty cool.

This was my winning team, by the way.

I chose Scorbunny as my starter, and I am happy with the decision, especially since he evolved into Cinderace, who happens to be a soccer player! Check out this vid I found on YouTube of Cinderace in action. His special attack is a flaming soccer ball. :D

It has been a lot of fun, it really has. And the games haven't ended. Once you become Champion, they give you new missions, and once you complete those, you spend the rest of your days joyriding through the Kanto and Galar regions, catching Pokemon and battling, basically forever.

I guess I'm a gamer now. I've got nothing but time, so I might as well escape the real world occasionally. Whatever keeps the sanity intact, people.

As for my goal on Pokemon GO, I'm not there yet, but I hope to be by the end of March. The girls are playing fairly regularly and sending gifts, so they're keeping Aunt Kelli on her toes. :-)

I'll give an actual update on life and this blog in the next post.
