December (so far)

December came out of nowhere, folks.
Hard to believe we're almost to the end of 2015.
I briefly struggled on what to get my nieces for Christmas.
Then I remembered that pajamas are pretty much my favorite things.
And like me, my nieces seem to really love sleep. A lot.
The oldest two (ages 2 and 4) put themselves to bed and everything.
So my nieces will be getting cute pajamas this year,
and probably every year from now on. :)

In other news, now that it's no longer hurricane season, bulk cooking is on.

I've also made my first resin jewelry pieces.
I'm still a Bama fan, but my Secret Santa has been
a Florida State fan for over 50 years.
Hope he likes his custom keychain (and socks, not shown).

My phone takes horrible photos. Sorry. Better pics on Etsy soon.

Doctor Who Season 9 is a wrap. Sorry I haven't talked about it this year.
I've been too tired, honestly. But trust me when I say I love this freakin' show.
Jenna Coleman was fantastic in her role of Clara and will be missed.
I'm a huge fan, and like all fangirls, I want to be her BFF. But I digress.

Also a wrap is NaNoWriMo. I have to be honest and say I am very,
very, VERY glad it's over. I reached the finish line, but at a cost.
I got burned out badly, to the point of exhaustion and misery.
I will have to seriously consider sitting out next year. We'll see.
The good news is that I made a pretty huge dent in my novel
and I finally launched my genealogy blog. More to come, of course.

The big news this month is that I will be at this year's Geekonomicon.
This is the event I attended last December where I cosplayed for the 1st time.
I don't feel well, but the ticket was free and I'm not willing to pass it up.
I am returning with Whovian friends, and I have two costumes planned.
Here is a preview of one of them. Stay tuned for pics in a few days.

Last but not least, I am completely addicted to this band. Just discovered them.

I'm in love.

(EDIT NOTE: BOOOOOOO YOUTUBE FOR BLOCKING THIS VID. BOOOOOOOOOO!)

Talk to you after Geekonomicon. Thanks always for following my roller coaster life.
