I'm not dead.

But this is one of the longest hiatuses I've ever taken from this blog. I knew my posts would be few and far between, or at least short and sweet for a while. The two short term classes are going...well...they're going. I expect an A in one class and a B or C in the other. As long as I don't drop below a C, I'm in the clear where financial aid is concerned. Just hate to say goodbye to the 4.0, even though I know it's just a number. With Science and Math now on my plate, I knew that time would come.

So I've had my birthday as well as spring break this week, and lucky me, I spent three of those days at Best Buy dealing with my computer. It died a quick and painful death, and I had to go immediately to have my files backed up to an external drive. Then I had to bite the bullet and buy a new computer. Thank God for college money. I was not planning to buy it for another several months, but I have my new Macbook and now trying to figure it out. Mac is a requirement for my Graphics classes coming up, although that's still a year away. At least I have it now, had the money set aside, and scored it for an insanely low price...less than $1000, which is unheard of for a Mac. A couple of expensive software packages to be purchased, and I'll be good to go for school next year.

I will be writing a review of the Geek Squad soon. It's not going to be very pretty. I will also be posting a review of a recent show that I went to, and it's DEFINITELY not going to be pretty. Just a heads up.

I had a post-birthday celebration of sorts, as I spent Friday with friends Andrea, Gabe, and their son Jake. We played at the beach and then they took me to dinner, which was very nice. Really really appreciated that, especially after a very stressful week (month? year? decade?)...

I've been writing elsewhere about a lot of things that have occurred over the past several weeks and months. I'll eventually compile it all into one post and make it public-worthy. I think a lot of people who have experienced disappointment (who hasn't?) will be able to relate to it in some form or fashion. I'm just having a hard time getting my words out right now, so I'm rambling on my private blog until I can find a way to make it all make sense.

It's 2 AM. Time for my last round of potassium for the night, then bed. Talk to you soon.

Baby Week, College, and more...

My niece Jo arrived on the 4th. I made the trip to Louisiana to meet her (pics from Louisiana coming soon, but not the baby as I do not have permission) and I made it home just in time to make the trip to Alabama to welcome my cousin Zoe Ann! Both babies were born early, but doing great and sooooo sweet of course. :)

Tomorrow will be a day filled with taxes, taxes, and more taxes. I must get this done, as I begin two short term college classes Monday that are going to kick my butt. I will barely have time to breathe, much less do taxes. I finished my Psychology class early and have a final grade of 109 or something crazy like that. Loved it. In April, I'll pre-register for the upcoming semester. A year of Algebra...God help me...and a couple of electives and I'll finally graduate with an Associate of Arts. I will still be at JC, but only because they offer financial aid and Bishop doesn't. I'll move on to Bishop hopefully NEXT summer, where I will take Painting if it makes enrollment...then begin the Graphic Design degree in the fall. That's the plan, but as we all know by now, it's tentative due to my health and finances.

I'm throwing this in just for fun. I tried not to laugh. It's IMPOSSIBLE. Laughed till I hurt! Cats are so insane.

Talk to you soon.

Baby Jo made her appearance yesterday morning at a perfect seven pounds! I arrived in middle Louisiana late last night and met my beautiful new niece today! She's soft and snuggly and loves to sleep. :-)

Blessed to finally be an Aunt!

Three weeks early, my niece is on the way emergency style!!! Prayers appreciated for my sister Katie and baby Jo to be A-OK!

I am too sick to drive so I'm not gonna make it in time for her birth :( but I hope to make the 5+ hour trip in the morning. I would appreciate your prayers also.

AUNT KELLI :) :) :)

My Favorite Month! And a College Update...

It's my birth month...let the partay begin!!! :D

My cousin is about to give birth to Zoe any day now!

My sister is going to give birth to Jo in two or three weeks!

My birthday is in three weeks! Send money or other gifts to...ok just kidding. Maybe. :)

I finished Psychology tonight...two weeks early...and have a 100+! Highest final score I've ever received in college. I'm still in shock! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would like Psych...I thought I would hate it and not do very well. My instructor said not only am I good at it, I should consider pursuing my "Masters or perhaps even PhD". Holy cow. The same university that my sisters attend in Alabama just happens to have their Psychology degree 100% online, so it is entirely possible for me to get a Bachelor's there. If I were to become a licensed Art Therapist in the state of Alabama (not sure about Mississippi), I would have to have a Psychology degree. It blows my mind to think that this is actually somewhere within my reach. So...WOW. Decisions!

That's pretty far ahead in the future, however. Not being able to be full time due to my struggling health is dragging this out, but at least I'm getting somewhere. The goal for now is to pass two short term classes that begin March 14th, then a year of Algebra. Mercy Lord...I'm praying to get through it. Once I do, it will be on to Graphic Design. I can't wait.

Anyway...welcome to March! This is going to be the craziest month! I'm buckling my seatbelt and hanging on for dear life!
