Last night, I painted Bob's "Blue Winter" for this Saturday's class. Darn it if my snow covered mountains weren't perfectly symmetrical! I never plan it, in fact I try to avoid it, but my subconscious mind somehow makes it happen anyway. What's up with that?
It is a beautiful painting, though...a very cold landscape using only white, black, and blue. It will be a nice way to end the year, and I'm happy with my version of the painting with the exception of those aligned and centered hills of mine.
Will be submitting a painting to Hobby Lobby this week to be diplayed at the front of the store. I'm not dead set on which one that I will submit yet. I wish I could give them one of my paintings from the past week, but they are soaking wet. That's the only disadvantage to wet on wet oils...they take a very long time to dry, especially in my incredibly humid neck of the woods.
Pictures eventually...don't have my camera on hand right now. It's probably in a box or bag somewhere. I hope to get more stuff unpacked and sorted through this week.
