The funny website that I recently posted the link to, which is mostly photos of animals with funny captions, is currently talking about Bob Ross! What a coincidence.
Amazing how many people were impacted by him. I feel like I'm in the company of millions. I joined the conversation to answer a few questions about Bob, and told them that I was an instructor. People are going on and on about him. Would they think I'm super cool if I told them that I had the priviledge of painting on Bob's easel? Same one he used on TV? Sometimes I forget about that, because I'm not really into the whole "ooooh ahhhh celebrity!" thing. But I guess that is kinda a big deal. I mean, how many people can say that they used Bob's easel? I'm not special though...it was simply the luck of the draw. :)
I've been painting like a mad woman tonight. Finally. Gosh, not painting for six weeks threw me off a little. My paintings turned out a little better than I expected, though, so that's a plus. I'll take a pic of them when I find my camera. I wonder if someone would be willing to shoot a video of my public demo coming up. I HATE myself on camera and get really nervous, but it is something that I need to get over. This would be a good opportunity to see how I paint from someone else's perspective and analyze my methods. There's an idea.
Speaking of coincidence, it turns out that one of the kitties here at the new place is named Bob. Bob loves to sit on the hood of my car, and I've discovered that he fears no one...not even the stray dog that occasionally approaches him looking for food. Bob doesn't blink an eye. He thinks he's in charge, as most cats do. And he appearently is. He's like the godfather. Ha!
